DESCRIPTION
A timeless classic of Italian cuisine, symbol of elegance and refinement. Our Risotto alla Milanese is crafted with carefully selected rice and precious saffron threads, giving the dish its golden colour and unmistakable aroma.
Easy to prepare yet rich in tradition, it tells the story of centuries of Lombard culinary heritage. A dish that brings warmth, sophistication and the timeless charm of Northern Italian cuisine to your table.
PREPARATION
1) In a non-stick pan bring 700 ml of water to a boil with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
2) Pour the contents of the bag, cover, and cook over medium-low heat for 16 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if necessary. Remove the lid and continue cooking for 2 minutes or more until the water is almost completely absorbed and the sauce is creamy.
3) add the saffron, season with salt, add extra virgin olive oil and let rest for 1 minute before serving.
SUGGESTIONS
Add 1/4 cup of white wine to the cooking water. Cook like a classic risotto, adding the water a little at a time. Finish with butter and 3/4 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.
