Nutmeg is a spice with a sweet and spicy, aromatic and exotic, but particular flavour.
Its use is vast, it is essential for flavoring mashed potatoes, béchamel sauce, onion soup, meat-based fillings such as tortellini and ravioli, cakes, puddings, creams and ice creams.
Compared to powdered nutmeg, whole nutmeg has a much more intense and fragrant aroma and must be grated directly onto food.
