If you love the flavors of Indian cuisine, then the Indian-style basmati rice with herbs and spices is a recipe you definitely need to try.
This ready-to-cook recipe includes all 100% natural ingredients in the same packet.
It is a really quick and easy to prepare and can be served as a first course with just the addition of a dab of butter or even as a side dish served with chicken, fish or vegetable stews and legumes for a great "cruelty-free" meal.
For more information: the "Basmati" is a type of long-grain rice from Southeast Asia and it is considered as one of the best in the world especially for its fragrant aroma and special texture.
PREPARATION: in a nonstick pan or pot, bring to a boil 650 ml of water and 2 or more tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Then pour the packet contents in the pan, put on it a lid and cook over medium-low heat for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if necessary. Take the lid off and continue cooking for 2 minutes or more until the water is almost completely absorbed. Season to taste with salt, add extra virgin olive oil, and let it stand just 1 minute before serving.
SUGGESTIONS: when cooking, add 100g of chicken tenders and 2 tablespoons of peas.
WINE-PAIRING: light-bodied white wines.
